I'm Melissa McLean

I am passionate about supporting your journey. I help therapists achieve their EMDR consultation goals including consultation for training and/or certification by offering comprehensive consultation packages to fulfill your EMDRIA requirements.

I am based in New Jersey and am licensed in Pennsylvania and Delaware. I graduated from the EMDR Training Group's EMDR Therapy Program. I am a Certified Therapist with the EMDR International Association and Consultant-in-Training with Leah  Fogt, MSW, LISW-S. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2005.

Prior to starting my private practice, Morning Joy Counseling, LLC, I worked as a therapist and director and have helped children, adolescents, and adults via individual, couples, and family therapy. I have also worked in a variety of settings including group and foster home programs, a psychiatric hospital, and outpatient settings; these experiences have allowed me to learn, grow, and become a bigger asset to people in need. I have also provided training and consultation for therapists specializing in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) in the state of New Jersey.

Currently, I specialize in helping clients overcome past traumas, limiting beliefs, and anxiety that hinder personal and professional success.  I often work with clients wanting to bring faith into the process.
